Hi Lisa,

I interviewed at Rice for a spot in their fulltime program earlier this week and was very impressed with everything I saw and everyone I spoke with. My interview was conducted by a 2nd year grad student and she really couldn't tell me much about when I could expect to hear from them regarding an admission decision.

I read on your short bio that you spent time at Rice, and I was wondering if you might have any idea when I might expect to hear back. The student who interviewed me said it could possibly be January before i hear anything. Obviously I am hoping to hear something much sooner than that. Thanks!

Dear oustone85,

Glad to hear you liked the Jones School. In the past, there used to be a table with dates posted on the website and in the application that listed the application deadlines and decision deadlines. The decision deadline is the date by which the applicants in a round will hear a decision by if their application is considered complete in that round. If the admissions office is no longer printing such a table, then I would suggest emailing or calling the admissions office to inquire when the decision deadline is for round 1.

Best of luck,
Lisa
