Admission Help....essays et al.

by 3gmater » Sun Dec 07, 2008 9:53 pm
Hi.

I am in the process of drafting my essays for R2. I am also working on my Recommendation letters with people who will provide me LOR's
I am a part-time candidate and specifically eyeing Berkeley and UCLA.
I have 710 (Q49 - 88%, V37 - 81%) and 5.5 in AWA.

Can any one recommend me a good (and reasonably priced) admission consultant to review my essays and provide me strategy for next steps.

Right now I am scrambling to find one. Although I know of several Ad consultants and have contacted a few......but I don't know the credibility of each of them.

R2 deadline for UCLA is 2nd Jan, while for Berkeley is March 2nd.

I really need some help/support to ensure smooth and effective essays for UCLA, in that UCLA's deadline is 24 days from today. After this I will use the help of same consultant to help me with Berkeley essays....for which I have cushion of 2 months.

I would appreciate if I can get few insights and pointers in this regard.

Thank you.

I'm not sure if you will get a lot of objectivity here, and obviously I recommend Accepted.com and its experienced editors. And yes, we do have staff available to work with you toward your Jan. 2 UCLA deadline (provided you contact us promptly.) However, we also have a few articles on choosing admissions consultants so that if you don't want to just take my recommendation, here are some pointers:

* "Choosing an Admissions Editor"
* Admissions consulting and educational advising: How do you choose

Finally, I realize you don't have a lot of time, but you might want to check the consultants that are members of AIGAC, the professional association for graduate admissions consultants. Members have to meet educational and experience requirements and are leaders in the field.

Best,
Linda

Hi Linda.

Thank you for a prompt reply. I will look through the links that you have sent and will also navigate through AIGAC's website.

Thank You once again.
