As an international student with one year of work experience and a GMAT score below a 600, I think it will be tough for you to gain admission to a MBA program in the US. I would suggest you do some research on schools and the MBA admissions process to put together a plan for yourself. It might take you another year before you are ready to apply, but it will be worth it if it means you get into a school that you wish to attend. Many folks start the admissions process at least a year prior to when they will apply as you should be doing quite a bit of research on business school to put together a strong application.

Dear Rahul,

Executive MBA programs are designed for applicants with over 10 years of experience after completing a bachelor's degree. There are very few Executive MBA programs that do not require the GMAT and very few daytime MBA programs that are willing to accept the GRE in lieu of the GMAT. Based on your previous post, you do not have enough experience for an Executive program and the traditional, daytime MBA program makes the most sense for you. The GRE also has a quantitative section, so I'm not sure it will be easier--it is just different. I encourage you to identify the schools that make the most sense for your career goals first, and then review the requirements with regards to the GMAT and/or GRE. There might be a school out there that does not require a standardized test, but I am not aware of any.
