Hi all,

I was just pondering which is the best MBA admission consulting institute in Kolkata, India. I have come across Princeton Review and IMS institutes. Do they seriously help you bag that admit that you have always dreamt for? Though i'm yet to take my GMAT, these questions come to my mind and i feel i desperately need some professional help??? What say guys? :D

Hi,

There is a range of admission consulting services you can get - from the basic, which will focus only on the language part to the niche, which will be schools specific (www.hbsguru.com).

You need to check a few things before you sign up.

1) What are the credentials of the consultants who work for you?

2) The past record in terms of admission. Note that this cannot be a name on a glossy brochure but someone in flesh and blood who can be contacted.

3) What kind of schools and geographies you are looking at - and their expertise in those schools.

These are just some of the basic parameters. Though IMS and PR are good they cater to a different category of applicants - typically those applying to mid-tier schools. That means they put in just content writers in the team to work with you. This justifies their low cost - $300 for about 5 schools. At the end it is you who has to take a call :)
