Additional Practice Q's in SAT workbooks

I heard from a reliable source, someone who teaches gmat prep independently, that SAT math is actually more challenging than GMAT math. Thought I would throw that tip out there, in case anyone needs additional practice. I will say that in some instances it is presented differently, but I think it is still useful.

Hm...it's been a while since I've taken the SATs--but I think that taking the test is significantly easier since it's not a CAT. I'd personally only practice with GMAT-based questions first.

I totally agree that the preference would be for CAT based practice but I was thinking more in terms of additional paper based practice tests. yes, anything CAT is far more difficult due to the importance of its adaptive nature.

SAT math is significantly easier than GMAT math. SAT 2 math (the subject tests) is a lot harder than the regular SAT, but covers math topics that are not tested on the GMAT.

I guess I stand corrected. Sorry about that. One thing I will say though is I glanced at a Kaplan SAT 1600 book and some of the geometry questions were identical to their Kaplan GMAT 800 book. Thanks Stacie for clarifying. Between the OG Quant, OG Verbal and OG 11 there are probably more than enough practice questions to keep me busy until the end of June anyway. Thanks everyone for their responeses and again sorry to bring confusion.

You could potentially see a 500 level GMAT question that is very similar to a 650-700 level SAT question, or something like that... but not a great way to study, of course.

We appreciate the tip all the same--a lot of people who prep for the GMAT find themselves running out of material, and many do turn to material from other tests (LSAT, SAT) for additional practice. It's great that we had this conversation.
