1 2|x| + |y| = 0

2 |x| + 2|y| = 0

Only conclusion i could draw was x=y=0

Since |x| > 0 and |y| > 0, each statement (on its own) tells us that x=y=0.

So each statement is SUFFICIENT

Answer = D
