Dear friends,
please help me a simple example:

I watched my favorite team won --> incorrect
I watched my favorite team win --> correct.

would you please clarify why 1st is incorrect while second is correct?
In my opinion, 1st is correct, while 2nd is incorrect, because
1st omits "that", and past tense "won" describes past action of the team, so 1st is the same as :
I watched (that) my favorite team won.

2nd is incorrect, cuz present tense "win" cannot describes the past action of the team,

any misunderstanding here?
