Answer: D

Solution:

Recall that the surface area of a cylinder of height h and base radius r is:

SA = 2πr^2 + 2πrh

Here, h = 8 and r = 3; therefore, the surface area of the cylinder is:

SA = 2π(3)^2 + 2π(3)(8)

SA = 18π + 48π

SA = 66π

Answer: D
