Each employee of company Z is an employee of either division X or division Y but not both. If each division has some part time employees, is the ratio of the no. of full time employees of to the no. of part time employees for dividon Xgreater than for company Z?

1) The ratio of the no. of full time employees to the no. of part time employees is less for Division X than for company Z.
2) MOre than half of the full time employees of company Z are employees of division X and more than half the part time employees of Z are employees of divison Z.

Let Fx and Px be the number of full-time and part-time employees in division X

We need to know whether Fx/Px > (Fx + Fy)/(Px + Py) ?

Simplifying,

FxPx + FxPy > FxPx + PxFy

FxPy > PxFy ?

Fx/Px > Fy/Py?

Let's see whether this helps: do check the wording for statement 1

wordings are confusing pls attach the screen shot

Definitely a problem - statement (1) explicitly answers the question.

Please double check the wording and be very careful when you type it out; the "Z" in either the original question or statement (1) should be a "Y" instead.

Statement (2) also has some conflicting information.
