A pair of skis originally cost $160. After discount of x percent, the skis where discounted y percent. Do the skis cost less than $130 after discount

(1) x = 20.
(2) y = 15.

The OA is A.

1) x = 20. After the first discount, the price was 160*0.8 = $128, so already less than $130. Sufficient.
2) y = 15. If x = 0% and y = 15%, then the answer is NO but if x = 50% and y = 15%, then the answer is YES. Not sufficient.

Please, can anyone explain another way to solve this DS question? Thanks in advance.
