Took a look at what modular arithmetic means and based on that I believe q=35 and p is 59

Set up two equation: P = QS + 24 and 2Q = KP + 11

Equating the P's from both suggests Q(2-ks) = (24K + 11)

2-KS can' be negative or zero, so it has to be one, which means both K and S are 1.

Substitute those back in to the prior equations will yield P and Q

however, I don't believe this is a GMAT style of question

Hi adrs33,

I am sure this is not a GMATesque question and would advice you to stay away from questions that are not likely to be testes on the test.
It is quality more than the quantity of practice that matters.
