A Mock with 26 DS Qs.

by Digvijay01 » Wed Dec 04, 2013 6:20 am
Hi..I took a mock test today and in Quant section , there were 26 DS Qs. Normally OG'13 says that there will be 15-16 DS Qs. Is this a possibility in real test.

Please help.

hi Digvijay01,

Which specific practice CAT did you take? It would be highly unlikely to see 26 DS questions on a standard practice CAT, so it's possible that you DID NOT take a standard CAT.

Thanks Rich.. I was convinced of the same...but still wanted to confirm. I had taken Economist SimCat.
Thanks again..

Digvijay01,

This CAT might just be a fluke, but it might also be indicative of a program that isn't quite in line with the actual GMAT. I'd suggest sticking to the 4 CATs that are available from mba.com (2 for free, 2 others for $40) and perhaps the ones from ManhattanGMAT or Kaplan.

I agree with Rich. You won't see 26 Data Suff questions. That's just ridiculous. Make sure you use reliable CATs. I'd suggest the 2 GMATPrep's, then the 6 MGMAT CAT's you get free with the purchase of one of their books. Veritas Prep offers 1 free PT, with an option to purchase additional. There's a plethora of great material out there. Stick to reliable companies. Kaplan also does the trick. :-)
