But a customer overloads the chair with 300 pounds and the chair breaks resulting in injury to the customer. The manufacturer should not be held accountable since the customer should have taken care to not overload.
Hence, it is only possible to hold the manufacturer responsible in cases where manufacturer is directly at fault. This can be done only on a case by case basis and cannot be generalized.
