The boys soccer team does not need to win more than 10 games in 1995 in order to receive the funding in 1996. "In any year that Springfield Academy's boys soccer team wins at least ten games, the team will get to play in the championship tournament that year." So, basically, if the team won ten games and made it to the tournament and lost the first game, then the team would still receive the funding in 1996.
