Since the rabbit population quadruples every \(3\) years, and we have two such periods in
\(6\) years, the rabbit population will become \(81\cdot 4\cdot 4\) after \(6\) years.

We know that each wolf eats \(12=4\cdot 3\) rabbits.

Therefore, we would need \(\dfrac{81\cdot 4\cdot 4}{4 \cdot 3}=108\) wolves to eat the rabbit population.

Hence, the correct answer is option C
