Rectangular plot = 360 ft by 650 ft
$$Area\ of\ plot=360\cdot650=217,800ft^2$$
$$1\ acre=43560ft^2$$
$$x\ acre=217800ft^2$$
$$x=\frac{217800}{43560}=5acres$$
So, the farmer rents 5 acres per month and he pays $30 per acre.
Therefore, for 5 acres, rent per month = $30 * 5 = $150

Answer = option E

The first step is to figure out the total number of acres that the farmer wants to rent.

Since we are given that the farmland is a rectangular plot, the area must be \(360\cdot 605\).

The total number of acres is \(\dfrac{360\cdot 605}{43560}=\dfrac{36\cdot 605}{4356}=\dfrac{605}{121}=5\)

Therefore, the cost that the farmer pays in a month is \(5\cdot $30 = $150 \Longrightarrow \)E
