Just got my official scores.

overall - 740 (97 %ile)
QA - 51 (99 %ile)
VA - 38 (83 %ile)
AWA - 5.5 (I messed up on the analysis of an issue essay)

Am a tad disappointed with my verbal score - since 99% of my prep was on verbal. Also, on the gmat prep on the day before the test, I scored a 770.

However, I will let it pass. I guess writing good essays is now more important than giving the GMAT again. After all, the scorecard itself says that the overall score is +/- 30 from your true ability :P.

Thanks everyone on this forum!

Wow, that's a fantastic score. I wouldn't be even slightly disappointed, if I were you! That math score is amazing. Nice work!

Have a question. On reading some other posts, it seems scholarship awards attach high weightage to GMAT scores. Is it true? In that sense, is the score low for a scholarship?
