Not as high as some of the geniuses on this board, but this is still a score I'm happy with. ;)

I am finally done with the GMAT!

There was no secret to my score. In fact, I took months of self-study, and even went through two prep courses (Veritas Prep and Manhattan GMAT). For anyone interested, I have actually written up a pretty comprehensive head-to-head analysis of the two. You can find it here:

I have a question for you. Are the questions on the GMAT more reflective to the OG11 book or GMAT Prep questions..

I found that the hardest questions on the actual GMAT were closer to those you would find on the GMATPrep software, especially for the quant section.

But did you see repeats from the OG11 book.. When I say repeats were the questions the same but the numbers were different...

What would you say is the best approach being that my test day is May 17th..Should I focus entirely on GMAT Prep from here on out or should I be working on both OG11 and GMAT prep...

My recommendation for you math-wise is to spend these next few weeks learning the basics. If you have the 5 Manhattan GMAT math strategy guides, I would go through each of them diligently.

Days before your exam, I would go through the GMATPrep software over and over. I felt the hardest questions from the software was representative of what you will see on the actual GMAT. Yes, you will see repeats (some from OG11), but the point is to get exposed to as many of these questions as possible.

Tmmyc,

I have a question 4 you... I have done both the OG11 and Math review...I seem to be doing these questions with ease...but when I do the GMAT Prep I seem to be lost.. Can you advise me how to correct this prob...

I feel lost in the wording of the questions... I am lost in DS...and some quant questions... I scored a lousy 360 the last time I took the test back in November and will be retaking it on May 17th... I would like to score a 650 but don't know if this is possible....

What should I do to focus more on increasing my score..? I won't give up until I score a 650 or above...

dferm, I think you would really benefit from starting from the basics and building up. The 5 Manhattan GMAT math strategy guides allow you to learn the basic concepts and also develop strategies on GMAT questions that test those concepts.

If you can grasp all the Manhattan GMAT math material, a 650 will be definitely attainable. I think right now, you will need to take that first step and start reading those materials.
