I took about 30 FLTs (software, Web site, paper) and there was only one test where I secured more than 710 (720).
I could have secured a higher score in V, but I guess my level of concentration decreased significantly by the time I reached V. I had taken all my mock tests on my laptop at my home/office/library, and had to take the actual GMAT in a cubicle, and had to stare at an LCD screen. At home, I could move my head, and look at a distance; not so in the actual test.
Moral of the story: please simulate your mock tests as well as you can. IMO, stamina is the key.
I am based in New Delhi, and will apply for PhD courses in the U.S, Singapore, France, and UK. If I can be of any help to anyone, please contact me at [email protected].
