680 on Gmatprep test

by Tim7332 » Sat May 12, 2007 2:44 pm
I just scored a 680 on the gmat prep test so I feel I'm getting close to my goal of a 700 on the actual test.

I noticed my 2 biggest areas of weakness were data sufficiency problems and sentence correction.

What's the best way to improve my score in these areas?

I want my 700+

With a 680 on GMATPrep, you should already be within striking distance of a 700. I think with a smart preparation strategy, you should be in a good place to reach your target in a month.

Take some time to study this thread: https://www.beatthegmat.com/viewtopic.php?t=68

I definitely recommend systematically identifying your weaknesses and working at them. It takes a lot of effort, but the system outlined in this thread is really worthwhile.

Best of luck!

Would need much more detailed data to tell you what to work on and to assess your chances for improvement. But generally agree with Eric that if you are at a 680 now, you are in a good position. Don't underestimate the amount of time it can take to prep, though. A month is not enough for most people (though it depends on how well you study).

scored a 720 on the gmat prep test tonight so I'm getting pretty close to ready.

I'm thinking with some more work on data sufficiency and sentence correction ill be ok.
