Hi,

I have given my GMAT today and got 680 (49Q,33V). I am working with Big 4 as a Senior Tax consultant for last 3.5 years. My GPA is 3.2 and I had aggressive career growth. I have handful of community and extra-curricular activities. Can you guys please suggest me which schools I have potentially chance for getting admission.

Your help will be really appreciated.

Thanks,
Sai

Yeah man, we need a LOT more info to give you a decent profile evaluation. Like: What is your post? Do you manage any people? Where did you graduate from? Have any volunteer work? Extra curriculars? Win any awards?

I'd suggest browsing around the site to have a look as full and deep profile evaluations, and then revert to us with more info.

Or you could simply drop us a line, and fill out our form which has all the questions prepared for you:

Hi Sai,

Sai based on the given information we can advice you the following-
Make sure you balance the profile well and plan the things to utilize your time properly across different activities that play vital role in getting admission and your profile building.
GMAT alone won't determine your chances of admission; academics, beyond the academics will and your work experience plays a vital role as well.
Generally most of the applicants have a good 4-5 years of work experience. Although it is not just the work experience that counts but also what you did there like-what were your achievements, what initiative you took, what changes you drove in your workplace etc. So to leverage this if you can show that in 3.5 years you have demonstrated the skills business schools are looking for you could put in a strong set of essays. Hence the quality of your work, your academics and beyond academics will play an important role in determining your candidature.

Sai, you're GMAT is good enough, gpa a little below average, but what is the degree? knowing what I know, you can apply anywhere. 3.5 years is plenty as long as they believe you have had enough experience and accomplishment to contribute in the classroom and have leadership potential. You don't need to pay a consultant to evaluate your candidacy. I had them evaluate me and I was told I had to do a bunch of stuff, but they were wrong. My only weakness was my GMAT score but I still have been able to be invited to some top schools. All the info is on the internet. You need to put in the time and effort to research. If you're asking "what schools should i apply go" this late in the application cycle, You might not have enough time to do the apps and get them in before round 3. I'd say be aggressive in learning about programs, what you want to do, where you want to live, etc and talk to students, visit campuses etc to help you narrow down your list. But as far as you have described, you probably would be a good candidate at any top school. That's just my opinion. And my advice/encouragement doesn't cost anything, so I'm just being straight up. Believe in yourself and put your personality and desire into this and you'll find good places. Check out business week, forbes, poets and quants, us news, financial times, etc for articles and rankings and narrow your search down. DON't retake the GMAT no matter what they tell you. you are in the range and that's all that matters. REgarding your work experience, most of my friends had 2-4 years exp. and with big 4 you'd be solid just as long as your resume and recommendations show you make an impact. Anyway, good luck. Message me if you'd like to chat or exchange messages off line. I have some other ideas/opinions and would share with you privately.
