680 GMAT Prep vs 570 actual - what gives?

It sounds like GMAT Prep gives the most accurate score projection. However, on my 2 GMAT preps, I scored 650 and 680. On test day, I ended up with a 570 (34V and 35 Q).

In GMAT prep, I believe my math was about 5-8 points higher, so I know that hurt. Also, I definitely felt jittery during the test and didn't manage time very well.

Did I just bomb, or is GMAT prep known for inflated scores lately?

Also, is GMAT prep truly an adaptive test?

Same here, got a 680 on the power prep which i took 2 days before the actual GMAT and ended up with a 580 on test day.

Then again, you get some people whose scores improve, so I'm not sure if the problems are simply harder.

Besides, GMAT Prep just updated their software, and presumably the level of difficulty of the problems contained within.

All I can say, having the test a few days away myself, is to focus on each problem, and not worry about what score I'm going to get, or how I'm doing. All I can do is give my best on each problem, and if I can't figure it out in 2 or 3 minutes, I should have it narrowed down to a 50/50 shot.

Dust yourself off, take a walk around the ring, and get back in the saddle to ride the GMAT again! You know you're capable of a higher score.
