3 month GMAT plan

My Gmat plan is below:

1. January 26, 2014 till March 31, 2014
Study all Manhattan 9 books and Official Guides 3 books
Spending 12-15 hours daily as I'm not working now a days.

2. April 1-14
6 Manhattan Exams
5 Gmat Premier Exams
2 MBA.com Exams

3. Then review of incorrect attempts in sample exams between April 15 - 28

4. April 29
Day before exam just relax

5. April 30
Game Day

How is this plan and my question is that after studying all Manhattan and Official Guides, I'm doing 13 Sample Exams and then learning the mistakes of incorrect attempts from books.

Is this fine or do I need to review all Manhattan and Official Guides again. I think this is not required as Manhattan and Official Guides have 2785 pages.

Hi gmat1981,

You'd likely be better of spreading out your practice CATs (taking 1 CAT every 1-2 weeks), than doing 13 CATs in 14 days. Taking a complete CAT is an exhausting experience, and requires a certain amount of time to review and do additional practice before taking another CAT.

Thanks for the reply:

1. I'm doing my CAT between April 1-14 because by March 31, 2014 I'll finish Manhattan and Official
Guides. What I can do is that I can finish Manhattan Guides 9 books and then I'll write 6
Manhattan CAT's and then I'll review mistakes of 6 Manhattan CAT's before starting Official
Guides.

2. Is it enough to study Manhattan 9 guides and 3 Official Guides Books and 13 CATs which I
mentioned earlier in my post or I need to study GMAT Premier online too.

3. I need 730 in GMAT as my GPA is low 2.6 in Bachelors and 2.9 in Masters.

Hi gmat1981,

Taking so many CATs in such a short period of time will not provide the benefit that you think it will. It's better to space them out and learn from each experience. That perspective will allow you to make the necessary adjustments, practice your weaknesses and fix the "little things" over time, instead of having to fix everything in one day (which you won't be able to do). With such a relatively high goal score, putting together an effective plan is a must, but there will be no way to know if you need extra material until you get a bit further into your studies.

GMAT Premier Online book is better or Manhattan 9 Strategy Guides. I've heard lot's of appreciation for Manhattan though.

Thanks for the reply. I agree I should evaluate myself as I move and should not put CAT's in the end.

After I finish Manhattan Strategy Guides I will try 3 Manhattan CATS, GMAT Premier Online 2 CATS and MBA.com Exam 1 to evaluate where I stand and then I will move to Official Guides then I will do remaining CAT's.
