So I'm new to the boards and figured I'd post my story to begin. My gmat path began early this year, and after a discouraging 610 (I want at least a 680!), will continue for the next few months. I took the mgmat online course, and here is a breakdown of how my CAT's looked leading up to my test a couple weeks ago:

2/01 - 580 35/34 (mgmat)
3/16 - 640 42/35 (mgmat)
3/28 - 550 35/31 (mgmat)
4/11 - 560 34/33 (mgmat)
4/18 - 660 (gmac)
4/21 - 680 44/38 (mgmat)
4/22 - 660 43/37 (mgmat)
4/25 - 610 35/40(actual Test)

As my final test shows, quant is definitely my weak area (which is also how it feels). I know the verbal looks weak in my initial tests, but I think a lot of that was just getting used to the format, and the mgmat class helped a ton w/ verbal strategies. I think if I just keep fresh with the verbal, and maybe work on my idioms for SC I can keep my score in the 40 range.

So my plan is to retake in July, focusing about 80% of my study time on quant and doing a much better job of going back and really understanding what I don't know. Before I did a lot of just 'going through the motions' and didn't spend as much time as I should have on review. Any tips anyone has on driving up a quant score are appreciated. Can't wait to post my 'owned the gmat' story someday!
