Hi,


I just interacted with the Stanford adcom and they said they generally discourage second MBA applicants. How difficult is it to get in a good school with a 2nd MBA with a strong profile? Which schools would you strongly say not to try and which ones look probable amongst the top 20 if one can work around a way by good reasoning in the essays.

Hi,

This is a great question. Many schools have policies that prohibit or strongly discourage 2nd MBA applicants, while other schools are open to it as long as there is a strong demonstrated need. I strongly encourage you to do just as you did with Stanford and reach out to each school on your target list. This way you get information straight from the source in regard to your specific situation.
