Yesterday i gave a 2nd shot to GMAT and again failed.
I am really disappointed and demoralized. I am thinking of applying to few Canadian colleges
I am very sure i dont have any chance in Indian schools like ISB etc.
Could you please evaluate my profile and let me know whether should i go ahead and apply or try again to get a decent verbal score .

Undergraduate :Metallurgical engineering from NIT( reputed college in India)
GPA : 3.2
Years of experience : 5years 2 months
Industry : IT Consulting ( working in accenture consulting. For the last 1.5 years i am working in Canada and have really good exposure to the canadian work culture . I have good networking in consulting industry as well in Canada)
EC : Decent EC but not great .
Have 1 national level merit award for my marks in Standard 12 Board exam
Part of a Junior Achievement School program in Canada

What are my chances in Rotmann/Schulic school of business.
Your help is much appreciated.

Honestly, your numbers are borderline so you are really going to have to stand out in your essays to make this work. A higher verbal score would definitely help.

Hi Jim,
I appreciate your help and advice.
I was also thinking in the same lines. I know if i try i can surely improve my verbal score as i was able to do the same in my practice tests which i took before the exam .

Gmat Prep 1 : 690 ( QA51 VA 34) (4days before exam)
Gmat Prep 2 : 720 ( QA50 VA 37) ( 2 days before exam )

A good Verbal score will push my score as well.

But i have the following concerns:
1. Will taking the exam multiple times create a negative impression at the time of application
2. I am weak in SC and RC. How can i improve these ?
3. I have a habit of making multiple mistakes in the first 10 questions . I have to increase my concentration as well. I feel as i am not confident in Verbal section , i always get tensed at the start.
