Hi,

The first time i gave the GMAT i got a score of 570. V31 and Q39. I got a 6 in AWA. I plan to take the GMAT a second time in January 2010. I have approximately 3months to prepare for it. I used to score around 610-640 on the GMAT prep.

I need advice on how to approach the GMAT this time around.

I have purchased the following books and this is what i intend to do:
Books: Manhattan SC, CR and all the quant strategy guides of manhattan, OG verbal and quantitative review.

I plan to finish all the manhattan books and then practice the problems from OG 11(already done the 1st time) after which i will use the manhattan online question banks. after which i plan to use the OG verbal and quantitative guides. once i am done with the aforementioned material i plan to solve as many problems i can from the GMAT prep software by installing and reinstalling it.. Also my RC section is probably my weekest section.. Please advice on the same.

Please help me if this study plan should be enough as my target score is 700+ or should i add something else or delete something i mentioned. Please help.. as this woould be my last attempt at GMAT.. I have been told that good b-schools would not like that one has given the GMAT multiple times..

I believe the key to a successful second-attempt prep is to understand very specifically where your weaknesses and strengths are. Take a look at the articles by Stacey Koprince that were published recently about evaluating your practice tests:https://www.beatthegmat.com/a/2009/09/23 ... tice-tests

One advantage that you have is that you already have the fundamentals regarding the GMAT prep. Now all you need to do is design a study plan and find the right practice problems to shore up your weak topics.
