2008 princeton review book ok for 2009?

I have the 2008 book... looking to start studying but on a limited budget. Is it necessary I get the 2009 or will it do?

The 2008 book should do. I don't think there was a significant change in the 2009 book. Good luck!

Agreed, the GMAT hasn't changed that much in the past year. 2008 edition will do fine.
