2 Weeks to D Day-GMATprep 640 - aiming for 700

Hi,

I've been taking the Kaplan and GMAT Prep practice tests over the last month as part of my preparation for the test - which has been on since January.

My practice scores have been.

Kaplan I - 540 (1st practice CAT - could not finish both sections)
Kaplan II - 560 (2nd practice CAT - Verbal score was appalling)
GMAT Prep - 640 - (36 Q 41 V) My quant score was way lower than I had expected. I got the first 7 questions wrong!!!

I am 2 weeks away from taking the test. My application to the target school hinges on a score closer to 700, would you suggest that I postpone and take a couple extra weeks of practice?

Appreciate your responses.

Thanks a lot

As far as postposing the test u would be the best person to judge that and decide. Its very hard for someone else to decide and say this. I hope u understand what I mean. If u can afford spending more time on the prep and not are constrained by any deadlines then take the time.

This can dent the score badly in a CAT -> string(7) of wrong answers and especially at the beginning of the test.

U need to look at these questions and see which topics they correspond to and spend time working through the basics of these concepts supplemented by practice probs.

Check this post out for the quant topics for the GMAT.It covers the topics for the most part.

Number properties (PRIME, EVEN/ODD, GCF,LCM,REMAINDERS) etc.

U can use the search function on this forum and type in certain keywords to obtain lots and lots of practice probs.

Good luck and keep us updated on your decisions.
