Answer to First Question

tri BDC - iso triangle therefore bd=bc
now angle adb=180-2x
thus angle abd=x
thus triadb - iso triangle therefore da=db=bc

thus answer is A

while Stmt 2 is insuff

2nd Question

Lets assume O is the centre of the circle

angle ABC = 60
therefore angle AOC = 120
Degree measure of arc ABC = 360-120 - 240

length of arc ABC = 2*pi*r * (degree measure of the arc ABC/360)
24 = 2*pi*r * (240/360)

2*r = 36/3.14
2*r < 12 but > 9
