Good questions -- and welcome aboard into the world of the GMAT. Here's what I'd suggest -- you need to invest in the development of a really strong study plan that will get you to test day. (PS -- I'd be nervous about 6-8 hours per day.. that seems like you are asking for burnout!)

Everyone preparing for the GMAT should get the Official Guide - 13th edition (aka OG13). This is a great resource for practice questions (as is the official practice test software).

You should also use an Error Log (aka Improvement Chart) while completing questions from the Official Guide (OG). You can find a free downloadable Improvement Chart here: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-error-log. This will help you identify and strengthen your weak areas.

A word about the various Official Guides: These are fantastic resources for official practice questions, but they're not very comprehensive when it comes to instruction. To perform well on the GMAT, you need to learn all of the foundational concepts AND you need to learn GMAT-specific strategies for answering questions quickly and accurately. In my opinion, the Official Guides do not provide this level of instruction.

Having said that, you should take an official practice test (https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/download-fr ... tware.aspx) early in your studies. This will give you an idea of how much work you have ahead of you and whether or not you need additional resources.
