I'm applying to HBS and GSB, round 2. Is it negative to have 2 letters of rec from within the same company? I would normally conclude to stay away from this, but both individuals have played a major role in my professional life, and both are solid contacts in the industry. Thoughts and experience? no... not negative... my opinion is that immediate supervisors or clients make for the best reccos... peers or subordinates are an absolute no...
if your current and previous supervisor are still in the same organisation , or you have some really impressed clients, go for it
