Said that a person altogether had took 23 minutes from apartment to office. How long did the person halt?

(1) The speed is 40 mph
(2) Distance is 13 miles

I) average velocity = total distance/ total time

distance = 40*23/60 ==> 46/3 miles ==> 15.33 miles.

?? - no clue of idle time here...

ii) distance/time = average velocity

13*60/23 ==> some value..

combine I and II) -

13/40 ==> total time

19.5 min ==> total time

total time= idle time + normal walking time

this is quite strange..?
are u sure..they said - average velocity
or just velocity?
