The owner of Steele’s Grocery in Osage, Ohio, saved $600 monthly on heat during the winter by putting all his refrigerator air compressors together in an insulated compartment, then installing two fans and a duct that carried waste heat from the compressors into the main part of the store.
(A) then installing two fans and a duct that carried
(B) then he installing two fans and a duct that carried
(C) then two fans were installed with a duct that carried
(D) installing two fans, and then carrying through a duct
(E) installing two fans, and a duct carrying

OA: A

Isnt a conjunction(and) required to join the first and second actions of the owner here????

A is ofcourse better than any other option. But i was wondering if this kind of constructions are correct.

This sentence explains a series of events. eventA, EventB,then EventC.

while adding an 'and' would not be wrong it would be redundant.

I did. I messed up the math section because i did not pay attention to the time

But i managed to pull i tback with Verbal.

When is ur test date?

My test is on 5th. verbal is slightly a problem for me...
not able to finish 41 in 75

any tips plz??

For verbal look for your weak section

Is it CR, SC or RC?

Your RC's should not take longer than 2 times the no. of questions.

Say a passage has 3 questions, you should finish reading and answering those questions in 3*2 = 6 mins.

CR -- try n answer those in under 2 mins

SC too.... you can improve on these a lot by practicing. The type of questions will become familiar to you as you practise and you can save time while answering them.
Manhattans SC guide is amazing for this.

I chose D.

B,C,E are just plain awkward.
I preferred D over A because it more clearly presents the fact that it was the duct alone that carried the heat. The fan just sucks the heat out.

However, A is still wrong because "then" is not a conjuction. we need ", and then" in A

pls, speak your idea

I agree that A is best but A is still wrong

we need conjuction not conjuctive adverb like "then"
