IMO A... i think the use of companies' is incorrect in all but the original answer... and we have parallelism with... To pay off the debt... and To profit

"to pay off" should be parallel with "to profit"

so, B, C and D are eliminated coz they are not parallel in structure

in A, company's is wrong

--> E is the correct answer
