1. When X is divided by 2, remainder is 1; and when x is divided by 3, the remainder is 0.
2. When x is divided by 12, the remainder is 3.
x = 6k + r

Statement I

This statement simply tells us that x is an odd number and multiple of 3 or odd multiples of 3.

x = 9, 15, 21, 27......

Each of the above values when divided by 6, the remainder is 3.

Sufficient.

Statement II

This statement simply tells us that remainder will be 3.
Sufficient.

Hence D.

Hope this helps.

I went by the same process.
In statement-1, why you did not consider '3' in
x = 9, 15, 21, 27......
I considered it and hence got the statement as Insufficient.

even if we consider 3, if 3 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 3

Here is a rule of remainder which will help you in future.

1 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 1
2 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 2
3 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 3
4 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 4
5 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 5
6 is divided by 6, the remainder will be 0

this is valid for all positive integers.

Hope this helps.

from 1
x is odd multiple of 3 try different multiples ... remainder is always 3..suff

x = 9 or x = 18 when devided by 6 gives different remainders...insuff

from 2

x =12c+3.......suff always the remainder will be 3
