Yuck 560! 32% quant and 73% verbal -Choked!

Good god this was a let down. I was expecting/hoping for a mid-600's score.

My verbal range was mid 70's-low 80's so I was not upset by the 73rd.

The math however really let me down. I took 5 MGMAT Cats and 4 (the most recent) of 5 scores were in the mid 60th % however for 1 was in the mid 20th?!? I have no idea what happened there.

Is it true that if you start out weak it is hard to recover? I really wasn't nervous although I did find the official cat more challenging than MGMAT. Very dissapointing after the months of studying quant.

Anyways, just wanted to vent. Ill be back for another test in 1 more month after some more CAT practice and DS work.

I took my GMAT about a month ago and had pretty much the same experience got 580, 38%-ile in Quant though I had gotten about 60%-ile on my last practice test, and 73%-ile in Verbal. I am going to start studying again this week. I think my biggest problem was just not doing enough practice problems and I had some unplanned breaks in my studying. I think I am going to work my way through the Manhattan Quant books again, then maybe take a Grockit or Knewton class and get over the 700 barrier and hopefully never think about this test again.

This thought may be your biggest barrier to 700. Majority of the test takers who scored above 700 had learned to "love" GMAT. It is difficult to excel in anything unless you have developed at least an appreciation for it.
