Which of the following most closely approximates
$$\sqrt{\frac{\left(3.97\right)\left(50.02\right)}{1.84}}=?$$
A. 1
D. 5
C. 10
D. 20
E. 100
Tha OA is C.
Why the answer choices are only integers? I don't understand it. Can any expert help me with this PS question please? Thanks.

Hi LUANDATO,
The answer choices are 'spaced out' enough that we can use estimation to get to the correct answer (the prompt also TELLS US to approximate the value of the given calculation). Thus, let's round all of the numbers and calculate...
(4)(50)/(2) = 200/2 = 100
The square root of 100 = 10
Final Answer: C

D. 20

Let's take a look at your question.
$$\sqrt{\frac{\left(3.97\right)\left(50.02\right)}{1.84}}=?$$
Since we are asked to approximate the value of the radical expression given, so let's round off the decimals to simplify.
$$\approx\sqrt{\frac{\left(4\right)\left(50\right)}{2}}$$
$$\approx\sqrt{\frac{200}{2}}$$
$$\approx\sqrt{100}$$
$$\approx10$$
Therefore, Option C is correct.
Hope it helps.
I am available if you'd like any follow up.
