Thus, let's round all of the numbers and calculate... (4)(50)/(2) = 200/2 = 100 The square root of 100 = 10 Final Answer: C GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made, Rich _________________ Contact Rich at Rich.C@empowergmat.com ### GMAT/MBA Expert GMAT Instructor Joined 04 Oct 2017 Posted: 551 messages Followed by: 11 members Upvotes: 180 Quote: Which of the following most closely approximates $$\sqrt{\frac{\left(3.97\right)\left(50.02\right)}{1.84}}=?$$ A. 1 D. 5 C. 10 D. 20 E. 100 Tha OA is C. Why the answer choices are only integers? I don't understand it. Can any expert help me with this PS question please? Thanks. Hi LUANDATO, Let's take a look at your question. $$\sqrt{\frac{\left(3.97\right)\left(50.02\right)}{1.84}}=?$$ Since we are asked to approximate the value of the radical expression given, so let's round off the decimals to simplify. $$\approx\sqrt{\frac{\left(4\right)\left(50\right)}{2}}$$ $$\approx\sqrt{\frac{200}{2}}$$ $$\approx\sqrt{100}$$ $$\approx10$$ Therefore, Option C is correct. Hope it helps. I am available if you'd like any follow up. _________________ GMAT Prep From The Economist We offer 70+ point score improvement money back guarantee.
