Area of the sector AB = (Angle/360)*pi*r*r = (30/360)*pi*r*r = 3*pi
(30/360)*pi*r*r = 3*pi
r*r = 36
r = 6 units.

Length of the side of the square = 2r = 12 units.
Area of the square = side*side = 12*12 = 144 square units.

Q3. Width = 20
Length = 30
Width of the rectangle is decreased by x% implies new width = 20 - x% of 20 = 20(1 - x/100)
Length of the rectangle is increased by y% implies new length = 30 + y% of 30 = 30(1 + y/100)
New area of rectangle = 20(1 - x/100) * 30(1 + y/100) = 600(1 - x/100)(1 + y/100)
= 600(1 - x/100 + y/100 - xy/10000)
= 600 - 6x + 6y - 3xy/50
= 6(100 - x + y) - 3xy/50

The correct answer is A.
