My unofficial score was a 700 (Q48 V38). Do you guys think that score will hold if when the official reports comes? Is it worth the time to try to get that extra 30 points?

I think it's depends on what you have done before,
what practice did you do
if you take a course
how many days you spend studing for the exam..
and so on...
Sorry about that, right after the test I had to run off to my sisters Penn State grad and just got back. So my story is alittle confusing. I had been studying on and off for about 1 year (ex. 1 month on three months off ). That was off of the kaplan and GMAT review generic books. Three months back I decided to book the test and force myself to take it. So three months back I got serious about it and the last month I have been studying about 3 hours a day 4-5 days a week.
So I started by going through the Kaplan and the GMAT review book for both strat and practice. Then I went through the following books
McGraw Hills GMAT verbal and Math
Kaplan advance
1012 GMAT practice by princeton review
Manhattan GMAT for Sentence Correction (got this book really late. did not finish it)
Did six practice tests 600 660 700 720 680 730 (first four from Manhattan GMAT, last two from MBA.com).
The combination of all the books were good. They need to make a large compilation book of 600-800 level questions. So if some one out there is trying to make some money on the GMATs, here is your money bag. Toward the end I was getting really frustrated with some of the practice problems because I felt like they were wasting my time. For anyone weak on sentence correction, the Manahattan GMAT is worth the money.

Ohh and something that I did to keep focus during the actual test (and did them during the practice tests in the library) was sit ups and push ups. NOT TO MANY, just about 20 sit ups and 10 push ups during each break to keep me relaxed.
Congrats on your Wonderful score....please can you tell me precisely how much time is given between the 2 essays and between one essay and Quant and between Quant and Verbal sections...I am writing my GMAT tomorrow and cannot find this info on mba.com...

Official report in 700 (Q48 V38) AWA 6.0
Between the writing and math section you officially have 8 minutes. DO NOT PRESS THE YES BUTTON (ON THE SCREEN) UNTIL THE PROCTOR COMES BY. They will advise you that you only have 6 minutes. They need the two minutes to seat you and start your test again. This is the same between math and verbal section.
