Solution:

The highest selling price of the cars sold in May was 4,500 + 15,000 = $19,500, and the highest selling price of the cars sold in June was 6,100 + 16,500 = $22,600. Therefore, the highest selling price of the cars sold in these two months was $22,600. Since the lowest selling price of the cars sold in the same two months was $4,500, the range was 22,600 - 4,500 = $18,100.

Answer: D
