Had each of the T coworkers paid equally, each share would have been $(x/T);

Since S of the coworkers fail to pay their share, each would have to pay $[x/(T–S)]

The additional amount, in dollars, that each of the remaining coworkers would have to contribute

= x/T – x/(T–S) = x[1/(T–S) – 1/T) = $[xS/T(T – S)]

Correct answer: D
