Set Q contains n non-zero numbers. Does set Q contain an even number of negative numbers?

1) n is even.
2) The product of all the numbers in Q is 100,000

The OA is B
Let's take each statement one by one.

1) n is even.

Certainly insufficient. All numbers can be positive; All except one number can be positive; All except two numbers can be positive. We have all the possibilities.

2) The product of all the numbers in Q is 100,000.

Since the product is positive, there must be an even number of negative numbers. If it is not so, then the product would be negative. For example: –2*–3*–5*–10 = +300; however, –2*–3*–5 = –30.

The correct answer: B

Hope this helps!
