- GMAT Score:690
Finished my Gmat yesterday. I scored 710 (49 and 38).
First of all thanks a lot to Gmat experts in the forum.
I am a bit disappointed with my score (my aim was to score 720+). It was my third attempt having scored 690 (in 2009) and a shocking 640 in the second attempt (in 2011). But i guess given the circumstances (new country, new job etc, i should be relatively satisfied).
First let me explain what i think was the main reason for not reaching 720 or a 730+ score.
I would strongly suggest you to practice the full test INCLUDING the AWA and IR more than 3 times before the real gmat. I made that mistake of not practicing the FULL test and i was exhausted before the last 20+ questions in the verbal section.
A little brief on my preparation.
materials
OG - 12
manhattan Series (very quite useful for quant, we tend to forget or overlook some small details some times)
Manhattan MGAMT tests (very useful)
Spared 45 mins or 1 hour every day (for 2-3 weeks) to visit the forum and solve questions posed by people like me ( i can say that this was the factor that boosted my quant score)
My test scores
Gmat prep 1 (680)
Mgamt 1 (660) - spent too much time on some tough quant questions, cost me a lot.
Mgmat 2 (670)
Mgmat 3(580)- shocking
Mgmat 4 (730)
Mgmat 5 (710)
Gmat prep 2(730)
I have some materials (lessons learnt from Mgamt tests or concepts from gmat experts in this forum). Will be happy to share if any one needs them.
