I am a GMAT rookie in need of a score of 570 to get into the Master's of Accounting program at the University of New Orleans. I am hoping to take it within the next two to three months. What books should I use to get this accomplished? Also, are there any preparation tips? My undergrad GPA is below standard but I can still be admitted to the program with said GMAT score. Also, I am hoping to get into school in Spring 2013. What is the best time to take it given all of this information? Any help would be much appreciated.

If your just getting started, check out these to get an idea about the GMAT prep:

Have you taken a GMATprep practice test?
It's available for free at mba.com. I suggest you take it first. It would help you benchmark yourself and accordingly you can figure out which sections you find trouble at. It could even be possible that you are already at or above the 570 level and don't need 2-3 months to prepare.

All the best
