Hi Davis98 and thanks so much for your post.

I think that you have an interesting profile with some particularly strong points including your GMAT score, your professional sports experience, and your international work experience. I would say that your undergraduate GPA should be explained in an optional essay when you do apply to business school, and that you should continue to commit to your extra-curricular experiences. In terms of schools for you to consider, I'd really want to know more about what you hope to do career-wise, post MBA. What sort of job do you envision? What type of role?
Once you fill me in on this crucial information, I can help make some recommendations.
Of course, feel free to contact us at [email protected] for a free initial assessment via phone as well.
Best,
Deena

Hey Deena,

Thank you for your insight. I hope to use an MBA to go from finance into consulting or a strategy/corporate finance team in an S&P 500 company (although I'm sure during my MBA my eyes will be opened to options I have never even considered). I took my current role to get some experience with a big company in the hopes it will help me land an offer from a blue chip corporation post MBA. Above everything, I am looking for something that really piques my interest. My long term dream is to start or join an organization that tries to replicate the Harlem Children's Zone, but uses idle resources from around the community in place of $75 million a year in revenue the HCZ needs.

I intend to write the optional essay and won't be making any excuses for my performance, I made bad choices. I will be sure to have my essays professionally reviewed as I know its important for me to nail it in light of my low GPA.

What I really want to know is where I might be a competitive candidate and whether completing a Graduate Diploma at the London School of Economics will be of any help. Any other suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks again for your time,

Adam
