If x>0, is y>0?
Let the value of x be 2. So the question can be rephrased to If x = 2, is y > 0 ?
1). x>7/2y
2>7/2y
y<4/7. So the value of y can be 2/7(any positive number less than 4/7) or -2(any negative number). Insufficient to answer the question
2). x>|y|
2>|y|, implies -2<y<2. So the value of y can be 2/7( any positive number less than 2) or -2/7(any negative number more than -2). Insufficient to answer the question
From 1 and 2.
-2<y<4/7; So the value of y can be 2/7(any positive number less than 4/7) or -2(any negative number more than -2). Insufficient to answer the question
