GMAT Prep 1

Gave GMAT prep 1 today:
740 QA: 51(1 incorrect) V : 38( 9 incorrect )[ was expecting more for just 9 incorrects ]

Had given Kaplan 6 two days back:
750 QA : 55 ( 0 incorrect ) V : 42 ( 13 incorrect )

9 incorrect is the minimum i have touched ever.
Looks like its gonna be real tough to reach 40+.

hey solid scores there. I suggest you to take GMAT prep2, which is slightly difficult than prep1 and more close to the real exam. After analysing both prep1 and prep2 you can decide how you can spend your next few days before the exam All the best.

I had kept the two GMAT Prep for the last 15 days ( Test date : Oct 24 ). After GMAT Prep I, its quite evident that I need to put in some more effort in SC.

Statistics for GMAT Prep I ( Verbal ):

SC : 7R 6W
CR : 11R 3W
RC : 14R 0W

I'll probably go over OG Verbal review for the remaining week and give the GMAT Prep II on weekend.

I really really hate all you 50+ Q types. Ok, not hate, but jealous.

How do you do that?

I've never broken 48+ on quantitative on any of the CATs.

Hit OG verbal SC hard. Read the explanations in the back for every question you do. Even the ones you get right. Read all the answer choices (not just the explanation for the right answer). Reading why the test makers think every answer choice is either right or wrong is a great way to learn. Also, go over the Sahlil and Spidey notes in the resources section of this site.

You're clearly very good at math. Start to view SC as a series of rules. Make it mathematical. Learn the rules. Execute. Good luck!

Are u using older version of GMATPrep ? The latest one gives exact 17 SC's and 11 CR's and 13 RC - Not compatible with data above.

I wanna thank you for that because that just increased my SC accuracy.
I just reviewed my test.
Correct distribution was SC 11/17 ,CR 8/11 ,RC 13/13

I probably messed up beacuse i was reviewing incorrect only.

I have been doing the same for the last 3 days.

Frankly, I gave up on SC due to lack of time. Moreover, I thought I'll end up more confused after going over the grammar rules. As of now, I just go with the one that sounds better.

But now I think going over the most commonly tested concepts might give me few more points.
9 days to go. Its time to learn some grammar


God, just give me 720 and I'll be happy!!
