D and E are incorrect. we don't require verb parallelism here.

A is incorrect.. overcoming is not a verb.

now see choice C -

As i mentioned in the earlier post that shorter is not always better. C is grammatically correct but is changing the meaning to something else. Hence we will reject C

I feel that to attempt to x causes redundancy.......what do u say??? and can u explain a little bit in more detail i.e why D and E are wrong?
